Scrapbooking Pictures

Here is a selection of some past scrapbooking projects. I haven't done much scrapbooking in the last few years for some different reasons: not enough time, not enough space, and not enough money!
I have managed to solve 2 of those problems (because there really is never enough money!) and have some space set up, and because I'm not always having to reorganize all my things and then clean it all up when I'm done.
Another reason I don't have a lot to show for my recent work is that I spent all of last year working very hard on a scrapbook to gift. My sister in law got married in 2009, and for their first anniversary I gave them a scrapbook from their wedding. I worked very hard on it and it is probably my best work yet!

Since I won't be adding any of my old work in blog posts, I thought I would put a few sample of things here so there is a reference point of how my work has progressed.
This is when I decided to start my own baby book (the one my mom did was lackluster as I was the 2nd child). This wasn't really a feasible project as my parents live in NS and I live in NL, and the parents have all the pictures of me. So, it's on hold.
This is from the first full book I ever created, for my Grade 12 Grad Week. These two pages  are of the grad dance. There are a few pages of the pictures we took before, and out to dinner as well, and a Safe Grad page, but those were rather boring, so I picked these two because they are my favorite. I like when party picture pages are very bright, colourful, and have a lot going on in them.

These two pages are from the cap and gown graduation ceremony. I didn't have a lot of pictures to work with for this one, because unfortunately after I downloaded my grad pictures and eraser my memory card, the hard drive on the computer crashed, and I lost all my photos. It was a good thing I had backed up the pictures from the rest of the week prior to that, or I would have been really upset! I like this page because I think it looks like a high school graduation. I was pleased with how it turned out. I made these pages in 2004 when there wasn't a lot of embellishments available in Nova Scotia, as there weren't many scrapbooking stores.

I have a lot of other things I could upload, but they aren't that good. In fact, the first scrapbook I ever made I ended up throwing away, and I plan to re-do it some time soon. I have a lot of unfinished projects, and finished pages, just tucked into albums that don't make sense. I really do need to sort out what I have, and what pictures need to be put on pages to make the albums work, so that I can fill them up, and put them to rest. Having so much unfinished product is really overwhelming when you take the time to think about it. I'm hoping that blogging about it will help me, as writing about it might give me a reason to buckle down and finish things off, rather than continuously moving on to new projects.
